Terms & Conditions

The Owner (Tony Mason) hopes you have a wonderful stay at Rock Cottage and in St Ives, and will do everything he can to ensure this is the case. However I’m sure you will understand, it is in the interest of both parties for there to be contractual obligations associated with the letting of Rock Cottage.

These are not intended to be onerous, or in any way curtail the enjoyment of your stay. Fairness and reasonableness according to circumstances will be the guiding principle at all times.

MAKING A BOOKING SIGNIFIES YOU HAVE READ AND ACCEPTED THESE CONDITIONS.

Use of Rock Cottage

Rock Cottage may only be used as a holiday let for a maximum of 4 people, plus one infant by arrangement with the Owner. Incoming guests may enter the cottage from 2 p.m. on arrival day (although the parking is available from 11.00 a.m. if you arrive early) and must vacate it by 10 a.m. on the day of departure. There is no right to remain in the cottage after the holiday.

Pets and smoking and pets are not permitted at Rock Cottage under any circumstances (although of course you are welcome to smoke outside the property in the patio garden).

Bookings will not be accepted for all-male or all-female parties in excess of two, or groups of single persons all under the age of 21 years.

General Disclaimers

The Owner reserves the right to accept or refuse bookings at his discretion.

The Owner cannot be held responsible for failure of public utilities (water, gas and electricity), the wi-fi connection or disturbances beyond his control. The Owner will endeavour as far as he is able to ensure that such events are resolved as quickly as possible.

Any breakages and or damage should be reported prior to departure, and where appropriate paid for, recognising that a property of this type will necessarily incur reasonable wear and tear.

All equipment (boiler, gas oven, appliances etc) has been serviced or tested in accordance with current legislation. The Owner shall not be liable for any injury arising to any person staying at Rock Cottage, nor accept responsibility for any damage or loss to personal property, (including cars using the reserved space on the Railway Station car park).

The Owner reserves the right to enter the property in reasonable hours for inspection or maintenance as necessary.

Making a Booking

To begin the process either make an enquiry via the Contact link above or telephone 01736 793353 or 07704 590 467. My aim is to reply to any form of communication immediately if I possibly can but within 6 hours at the latest. No communication is ever be left unanswered.

Following this initial contact you will receive notification of the dates requested and total charges payable. Should you wish to proceed to booking please reply to this communication as soon as possible but within 7 days at the latest.

Your booking is complete once you have received confirmation from the Owner of receipt of 30% of the total fee (“the deposit”), which is acceptance of your booking in accordance with these terms and conditions. Please check this confirmation carefully upon receipt of it and contact the Owner immediately if you have any queries.

The outstanding 70% balance of the tariff should be paid in full 8 weeks/56 days before the start date of the holiday.

Full payment is required for a booking made within 8 weeks/56 days of the start of the holiday.

Your personal data will be kept securely and never be disclosed to any other person or organisation, nor used for any purpose other than communication between you and the Owner.

Cancellations

Cancellations become necessary in the most unexpected of circumstances, so please consider taking out holiday insurance if you do not have an annual policy for same. In the event that the Owner is able to re-let Rock Cottage for the period in question any monies received will mitigate any charges.
